Rehearsal Schedule

Important Notes (Please read):

 

  1. The last period is an extra period. May extend up to 21.00 (Rehearsal rooms for the last period are announced within the Directors group each week)

  2. Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s (except Week 7) we have reserved the Hartley Hut for Play B’s, you are welcome to use it as a rehearsal space.

  3. Saturdays are optionally scheduled. Directors can decide on using the time as they wish. Must confirm with Producer on room availability. (Rehearsal rooms will be confirmed and announced here asap.)

  4. On Monday afternoons each 2 to 3 weeks we might replace rehearsal slots with Professional Development sessions.

Rehearsal Logistics

  1. Each period two plays rehearse: Play A / Play B
  2. Play A gets room priority. Play B must find a place to rehearse.
  3. Play B Director must inform Jesse of where they are rehearsing and Jesse may choose to work on both. Arrangements will be made there and then.
  4. This schedule has been made by carefully considering each play by number of cast / original appreciation of its staging difficulty / play length from which an adjusted rehearsal requirement score was produced to allocate rehearsal time.
  5. Each play gets at least 4 hours of contact time with Jesse (not CSL per director’s request) (+ room priority per week). In previous years only 1 play rehearse in each slot. That would have meant a large proportion of the class was left with no rehearsals for long periods.

Notes for Directors / Producers

    1. The Rehearsal Schedule changes every two weeks.
    2. To request changes to the production schedule please talk to Associate Producer Eva Ditzelmüller. We will try and accommodate changes depending on cast clashing/scheduling options available for the following weeks.
    3. If we are unable to accommodate your needs and feel we haven’t done our best within our options to do so please contact the Course Coordinator, Zois Pigadas, directly.
    4. If you are booking a room to rehearse outside our scheduled hours you must inform Associate Producer Eva Ditzelmüller so that we can track down rehearsal hours for the actors.

**On Wednesday all Directors meet at 1 PM at Unit 4. On Friday 11.10 to 12.10 we will work all together on final production issues, then from 12.10 to 13.10 Telephone and 17 Days will rehearse. Saturday we will recap production.

November 6 to November 12 | Priority

All plays have been allocated equal priority rehearsal slots. This week works in  (brackets) and not with double / billing. That means the plays in brackets can, practically rehearse, without cast-clashing but will not. This gives you the opportunity to rehearse in your own slot, or swap with yourself in your own production to sleep in or fit your schedule.

All shows except Indigo may use a bracket slot to compensate for time lost costume fitting. CSL / 30 Days and Z you may use a second additional bracket slot as we had to cancel one of your rehearsals 2 weeks ago to see the INT2’s.

DO NOT OVERWORK YOURSELVES, we are all performing next week, this is already a very heavy schedule. If your director is calling you in for more rehearsals email Zois or Jesse immediately and confidentially to complain.

Monday and Wednesday we have 4H Slots (Workshops). Tuesday all runs will be at the CORBETT! If you are “in CT” you must rehearse at the Corbett. Class Meeting Saturday is mandatory. All Shows gets some rehearsal time in the Corbett.

During the week, when you are not in the Corbett with the TECH Team you may also meet to discuss, and technically rehearse aspects of your shows during these times; the available times without cast-clashing in the Corbett and cast-combinations for your scenes/plays are as follows without OVERTIRING actors who have to be in other rehearsals / tech / plotting etc. [Suggestions possible so far below]
